This blog started in 2007 as a way to chronicle a six month journey around the world. Three years, two children, one dog and a lifetime later, it is now a way to chronicle vacations and the occasional entertaining family anecdote.

I am the 34-year-old mother of an almost-six-year-old Ethiopian boy and a just-turned-six-month-old mixed breed English-American girl. We live in Cambridge, Mass., where I spend my time trying to write, run a nonprofit and maintain my sanity, while having my hair pulled and my face chewed as I throw and catch baseballs.
